- W2896850854 abstract "Particulate filters are commonly used to reduce the concentrations of PMs (Particulate Matters) emitted by motor vehicles or other sources of pollutants. However, studies focusing on the particulate PM0.1 filtering system in motorcycles remain unclear and limited. Hence, the aim of the present paper is to evaluate the developed motorcycle filters consisting of a porosity-based filter, an electrostatic-based filter, and a radiation-based filter for reducing the concentrations of PM0.1 emitted by motorcycles. The porosity-based filter has been developed using biomass materials such as coconut fibers, coconut fiber DPF, coconut shell, charcoal of coconut shell, and sawdust. The electrostatic fitter was developed using a low DC voltage. The radiation-based filter was developed by using heat emission for reheating PM0.1. We have found a prospective filter for reducing motorcycle particle emissions with efficiency depending on the developed method. The filter efficiency reaches 27%±10% for the porosity-based filter, 37%±1% for the electrostatic-based filter, and 27% to 42% for the radiation-based filter." @default.
