- W3031496178 abstract "ObjectiveTo explore histological study on the orthodontic tooth movement on lower central incisors of rabbits with thermoplastic materials of different thickness.MethodsA group of 7 male New Zealand rabbits were randomly divided into three groups: The experimental group (n=3) was designed move teeth by 3 steps, 0.33 mm each; the control group (n=3) was designed to move teeth 3 steps, 0.20 mm each; and the blank control group (n=1) was directly sacrificed for histological observation.ResultsIn the experimental and control group, the periodontal ligaments of the incisors in the rabbits were compressed in the distal side and stretched in the mesial side. Both groups showed periodontal blood vessel dilation and congestion, differentiation of osteoclasts, alveolar bone formation and osteogenesis.ConclusionsThe rabbit lower incisor tooth movement model with clear aligner was established. This model is easy and stable.
