- ilcd;;1:16-cv-01024_de190 RegisterActionDescriptionText "TEXT ORDER entered by Judge Harold A. Baker on 7/12/2017. Plaintiff files 153 , a motion to brief the Court. Plaintiff reasserts his claim that the law library staff has obstructed his access to the courts. He had previously filed this claim at 140 and the Court addressed it in its text order of June 13, 2017. The Court notes that Plaintiff has been a prodigious filer, filing multiple motions, complaints, request for injunctive relief, etc. The Court cannot easily discern any detriment and Plaintiff fails to identify any. See Shango v. Jurich, 965 F.2d 289, 291 (7th Cir. 1992). Plaintiff also reasserts the claim that he has filed only one amended complaint. The Court, however, undertook an exhaustive review of Plaintiff's filings in its text order of June 7, 2017. There, it determined that Plaintiff's most recent attempt to amend was his fourth. The Court's position on this matter has not changed. Plaintiff also claims that this case involves complex discovery issues and asks that all pending deadlines be vacated and reset. The Court, however, has already denied Plaintiff's motion to extend discovery and has extended the dispositive motions deadline to July 24, 2017. Plaintiff also reasserts his request for appointment of counsel and request for a hearing. 153 is DENIED in its entirety, consistent with the Court's prior orders.
