Rasho is an ongoing class action lawsuit alleging substandard mental health treatment of seriously mentally ill ("SMI") prisoners in IDOC custody. Plaintiff is an SMI inmate and class member in Rasho and was advised that he may not reassert claims in this case which are being litigated in Rasho. See MRO Plaintiff indicates that he needs these statements to establish that IDOC facilities are understaffed, that inmates do not receive adequate mental health treatment and to generally highlight the conditions in effect at Pontiac from 2015 through 2018. Plaintiffs claims in this case, however, are that Defendants 89F45DB, 551DDF4, 13E0C40, 6DECC36, 13C24F5, 35F5D95 and D0BFAE4 were deliberately indifferent in not formulating a treatment plan whereby he would be released from segregation, and for failing to place him in a mental health facility. The requested documents, while relevant to Rasho, are not relevant to the issues in this case. Plaintiff, further, requests subpoenas for related to the general are not relevant to these issues. Plaintiff also requests subpoenas for video footage from Menard and Pontiac which would allegedly show him being assaulted by staff.
