Zagel, the United States District Court, and Judges in the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals. In essence, plaintiff's complaint seeks relief for her dissatisfaction with rulings by Judge Zagel and others made with respect to case No. 02 C 7062. Judges are absolutely immune from suits which allege that they performed their judicial functions improperly or inadequately. Mireles v. Waco, 502 U.S. 9, 11-12 (1991); Doyle v. Camelot Care Centers, Inc., 305 F.3d 603, 622 (7th Cir. 2002.) Judicial immunity was recognized at common law "as a device for discouraging collateral attacks and thereby helping to establish appellate procedures as the standard system for correcting judicial error' and to 'protect[] judicial independence by insulating judges from vexatious actions prosecuted by disgruntled litigants." "Richman v. Scheahan, 270 F.3d 430, 434-35 (7th Cir. 2001) (quoting Forrester v. White, 484 U.S. 219, 225-29 (1988.) Given that the conduct complained of here was clearly judicial in nature, the defendant judges are entitled to absolute immunity. This case is dismissed with prejudice.
