- ilnd;;1:08-cv-05287_de18 RegisterActionDescriptionText "MINUTE entry before the Honorable Robert M. Dow, Jr: Upon review of the pleadings filed in this action, including Defendant's answer and affirmative defenses, and Plaintiff's extensive efforts to obtain counsel as set forth in her renewed motion for appointment of counsel 17 , the Court is now persuaded that appointment of counsel is warranted in this case in view of the matters in dispute between the parties and the likelihood that the assistance of counsel would provide a substantial benefit to the Court and the parties. See Pruitt v. Mote, 503 F.3d 647, 654-55 (7th Cir. 2007); Gil v. Reed, 381 F.3d 649, 656 (7th Cir. 2004). Accordingly, the Court appoints Bruce Braverman, Sidley Austin Brown & Wood LLP, 10 South Dearborn Street, Chicago, IL 60603, Tel. 312-853-2661, bbraverman@sidley.com, to represent Plaintiff in this case in accordance with counsel's trial bar obligations under Local Rules 83.11 and 83.37. Appointed counsel is requested to (i) enter an appearance in this case, (ii) confer with Plaintiff as soon as practicable, (iii) discuss with counsel for Defendant any adjustments to the existing discovery schedule that either or both parties believe may be necessary in view of the current state of discovery and the appointment of new counsel, and (iv) file any appropriate motion concerning the discovery schedule, whether agreed or contested. This case remains set for status on 4/21/09 at 9:00 am. Mailed notice (td, ) (Entered: 02/20/2009)" @default.
