- ilnd;;1:19-cv-01385_de275 RegisterActionDescriptionText "MINUTE entry before the Honorable John F. Kness: Before the Court is the motion of counsel David N. Schellenberg and Janaki Nair 264 to withdraw their appearances on behalf of Defendant Health Care Reform Benefit Solutions, Inc. d/b/a HRB Solutions, Inc. ("HRB"). Under Amended General Order 20-0012 for the Northern District of Illinois, entered by Chief Judge Rebecca R. Pallmeyer on March 17, 2020, hearings in all civil cases will not be held between March 17 and April 6, 2020. In addition, all deadlines in civil cases are extended by 21 days. Paragraph 10 of Amended General Order 20-0012, however, also says that the Order "does not affect the authority of judges to enter orders in any civil or criminal cases." Accordingly, with respect to the motion to withdraw, the Court directs HRB itself to file, ex parte and under seal, a written response by April 16, 2020. HRB is directed to send its response by email to its present counsel. Counsel is directed to file the response under seal on behalf of their client with three business days of receiving the response. Status hearing is set for April 30, 2020 at 9:30 a.m. HRB is reminded that, as a corporation, it cannot appear pro se but must instead be represented by counsel. See, e.g., Scandia Down Corp. v. Euroquilt, Inc., 772 F.2d 1423, 1427 (7th Cir. 1985) ("corporations must appear by counsel or not at all"). Mailed notice (ef, ) (Entered: 03/26/2020)" @default.
