- ilcd;;1:16-cv-01149_de84 RegisterActionDescriptionText "TEXT ORDER: Plaintiff has filed a renewed motion for recruitment of counsel. 57 Plaintiff has one claim before the Court alleging four Defendants were deliberately indifferent to a skin infection. See September 22, 2016 Case Management Order. Plaintiff says he is a mentally ill inmate and he does not know how to proceed with his litigation, or file a dispositive motion. As the Court has previously noted, Plaintiff must first demonstrate he has "made a reasonable attempt to obtain counsel or been effectively precluded from doing so." Pruitt v. Mote, 503 F.3d 647, 654 (7th Cir. 2007), citing Farmer v. Haas, 990 F.2d 319, 322 (7th Cir. 1993). For instance, Plaintiff must provide copies of letters he sent or received in his attempt to find counsel, or provide a list of attorneys contacted. In addition, Plaintiff provides no evidence supporting his contention that he is mentally unable to litigate. Plaintiff has clearly stated his claims, and Plaintiff has demonstrated he is capable of following and responding to various court orders in both of his pending lawsuits. See 9CFA0CF v. Edwards, 16-2108. Plaintiff's renewed motion is denied. 57 Entered by Judge Sue E. Myerscough on 1/22/2018. (MAS, ilcd) (Entered: 01/22/2018)" @default.
