- ilcd;;1:16-cv-01170_de80 RegisterActionDescriptionText "TEXT ORDER: Entered by Judge Sara Darrow on 10/6/2017. Defendants Tilden and Wexford Health Sources filed a Motion for Protective Order 58 seeking entry of a proposed protective order limiting the dissemination of any document a party unilaterally deems "confidential." Rule 26 of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure authorizes the Court to issue a protective order to limit disclosure of trade secrets upon a showing of good cause. Fed. R. Civ. P. 26(c)(1)(G). In support of the motion, Defendant Wexford cites "concerns about proprietary/trade secret information contained" in documents responsive to Plaintiff's discovery requests, but provide no other information. Defendants do not identify what documents, or class of documents, Plaintiff sought in discovery, what type of information those documents may contain, or how disclosure would detrimentally affect Defendant Wexford's interests. Therefore, the Court finds that Defendant Wexford has failed to show good cause. Compare Watkins v. Ghosh, 2013 WL 1869094, at *1 (N.D. Ill., filed May 3, 2013) (finding that affidavit from Wexford Director of Risk Management outlining economic effects that could result from public disclosure of internal policies satisfied good cause requirement of Rule 26). Defendants' motion 58 is DENIED with leave to renew. Plaintiff's Motion to Compel 62 is DENIED with leave to renew. Plaintiff did not attach copies of the discovery requests in dispute as required by the Court's scheduling order. See 19 at paragraph 17. Defendants' Motions for Extension of Time 57 64 are GRANTED. Discovery shall be completed by November 8, 2017. Dispositive motions shall be filed by December 8, 2017. (LN, ilcd) (Entered: 10/06/2017)" @default.
