- ilcd;;1:17-cv-01210_de14 RegisterActionDescriptionText "TEXT ORDER: Plaintiff has filed a motion for a temporary restraining order asking to be transferred to Dixon Correctional Center or to another prison away from Defendants. He alleges that he was subjected to retaliation and harassment through two false disciplinary reports (not written by Defendants), one for disobeying a direct order and one for having unauthorized contraband. He also seems to generally challenge the conditions at Pontiac Correctional Center and the lack of mental health care. "'[A] preliminary injunction [temporary restraining order] is an exercise of a very far-reaching power, never to be indulged in except in a case clearly demanding it.'" Girl Scouts of Manitou Council, Inc. v. Girl Scouts of U.S. of America, 549 F.3d 1079, 1085 (7th Cir. 2008)(quoted cites omitted). To obtain a preliminary injunction, a plaintiff must show that he is "likely to succeed on the merits,... likely to suffer irreparable harm without the injunction, that the harm he would suffer is greater than the harm that the preliminary injunction would inflict on the defendants, and that the injunction is in the public interest." Judge v. Quinn, 612 F.3d 537, 546 (7th Cir.2010). Plaintiff has not demonstrated any of these requirements. Accordingly, Plaintiff's motion for a temporary restraining order is denied (d/e 11 ). This case is in the process of service. Entered by Judge Sue E. Myerscough on 5/31/2017. (GL, ilcd) (Entered: 05/31/2017)" @default.
