- ilcd;;1:17-cv-01488_de36 RegisterActionDescriptionText "TEXT ORDER entered by Judge Michael M. Mihm on 3/26/2018. Plaintiff files 8 , a motion for recruitment of pro bono counsel but does not indicate that he attempted to secure counsel on his own. Pruitt v. Mote, 503 F.3d 647, 654-55(7th Cir. 2007. 8 is DENIED at this time. In the event that Plaintiff renews his motion for appointment of counsel, he is to provide copies of the letters sent to, and received from, prospective counsel. On January 19, 2018, the Court denied Plaintiff's request for injunctive relief regarding the holding of seriously mentally ill (SMI) inmates in long-term segregation. The claim was dismissed as Plaintiff is a class member in Rasho v. Walker, No. 07-1298 (C.D.Ill. Nov. 7, 2007) where the same claims for injunctive relief are being litigated. Plaintiff files 30 , essentially a motion to reconsider that ruling. Plaintiff asserts that he told the Judge in Rasho that he did not want to pursue injunctive relief in that case. As previously indicated, however, Plaintiff cannot opt out because the Rasho class was certified under Rule 23(b)(2) which does not allow it. 30 is DENIED. (VH, ilcd) (Entered: 03/26/2018)" @default.
