- ilnd;;1:06-cv-03154_de18 RegisterActionDescriptionText "MINUTE entry before Judge James B. Zagel : The plaintiff's second motion for appointment of counsel [#10] is denied. The plaintiff still fails to show either that he has made reasonable efforts to retain private counsel or that he has been effectively precluded from making such efforts. See Gil v. Reed, 381 F.3d 649, 656 (7th Cir. 2004), citing Jackson v. County of McLean, 953 F.2d 1070, 1072-73 (7th Cir. 1992). As an additional concern, the plaintiff is once again reminded of the court's basic filing requirements. The plaintiff must: (1) provide the court with the original plus a judge's copy of every document filed; and (2) include a certificate of service showing that a copy was mailed to the defendants or defense counsel. The clerk is directed to mail the plaintiff another copy of the court's filing instructions. In the future, the court may strike without considering any document filed that fails to comport with these basic rules. Mailed notice (cdy, ) (Entered: 08/31/2006)" @default.
