- ilnd;;1:20-cv-01809_de7 RegisterActionDescriptionText "MINUTE entry before the Honorable Steven C. Seeger: Plaintiff's motion for attorney representation (Dckt. No. 3 ) is hereby denied. Plaintiff alleges that she worked as a substitute school teacher in March and April, 2018. She alleges that the Wheeling School District #21 was a "[h]ostile work environment" because she was "directly target[e]d & bullied on my job by staff." She also alleges that she suffered disability discrimination because she (1) has a respiratory disorder; (2) is bi-polar; (3) has obsessive compulsive disorder; (4) has anxiety; (5) has arthritis; and (6) has a bladder disorder. She also alleges age discrimination. She alleges that Wheeling School District #21 terminated her employment, failed to reasonably accommodate her disabilities, failed to stop harassment, and retaliated against her. The subject matter of the litigation is not overly complex. It involves allegations of unlawful action in the workplace during a discrete period of time. Also, Plaintiff is an educator and has a post-graduate education, so at this time the Court is confident in her ability to represent herself. Based on the application, Plaintiff has done some searching for an attorney, but Plaintiff can do more to exhaust other opportunities to retain counsel. Mailed notice.
