- ilnd;;1:20-cv-04413_de28 RegisterActionDescriptionText "ORDER: Plaintiff's renewed application for leave to proceed in forma pauperis (IFP), amended complaint, and motions for attorney representation are under consideration. Plaintiff will receive a written copy of the Court's initial review of his amended complaint and rulings on the pending motions. The Court notes Plaintiff has now filed four motions requesting recruitment of an attorney and a series of letters discussing various aspects of his criminal prosecution and incarceration. Before sending any additional submissions to the Court, Plaintiff must allow adequate time for the Court to rule on the currently pending motions. Plaintiff also must stop filing duplicative motions and letters. If Plaintiff fails to comply, the Court will consider imposing sanctions or entering an order barring further filings. See Alexander v. United States, 121 F.3d 312, 316 (7th Cir. 1997) (explaining that federal courts have the inherent power to protect themselves from litigants who vexatiously multiply the proceedings). Signed by the Honorable Virginia M. Kendall on 9/9/2020. Mailed notice (jh, ) (Entered: 09/09/2020)" @default.
