- njd;;2:16-cv-02364_de4 RegisterActionDescriptionText "ORDER: Upon reviewing the Complaint (Doc. No. 1), the Court notes that, although Plaintiff, proceeding pro se, alleges he resided in this District when his claims accrued (Compl. paragraph 57), the alleged events giving rise to Plaintiff's claims took place primarily in the District of New Jersey, and nearly all of the named Defendants are alleged to reside in the District of New Jersey. Venue therefore appears proper in the District of New Jersey. See 28 U.S.C. § 1391(b). Accordingly, by March 31, 2016, each party may submit a letter explaining why this case should remain in the Southern District of New York and should not be transferred to the District of New Jersey. After that date, absent good cause shown, the Court will issue an order transferring this case to the District of New Jersey pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 1404(a). Plaintiff shall serve a copy of this Order on Defendants by March 23, 2016. (Signed by Judge Richard J. Sullivan on 3/16/2016) (mro) (Entered: 03/17/2016)" @default.
