- nysd;;1:17-cv-05361_de208 RegisterActionDescriptionText "MEMO ENDORSEMENT: on re: 187 Letter filed by Paul Livant, Andrew Snitzer. ENDORSEMENT: The Court agrees with defense counsel that Class Counsel's summary chart lacks sufficient granularity for the Court to meaningfully assess the lodestar calculation. Class Counsel is directed to provide a breakdown of hours by work category and attorney (i.e., a crosstab showing the amount of time each attorney billed to each given category of work). The breakdown must include categories at least as detailed as the ones below: 1. Pre-filing investigation; 2. Filing through motion to dismiss; 3. Fact discovery; 4. Expert discovery; 5. Settlement discussions; 6. Post-settlement. Class Counsel should also consider describing to the Court the estimated top 2 to 3 most time-consuming tasks within each category, and those tasks' shares of the time billed for that category. Class Counsel is directed to provide more detail as to its expenses, including a breakdown of the expert fees by each expert, the travel expenses by each trip and its purpose, and the cost per page for the printing costs. Class counsel's supplemental submission is due by August 10, 2020. Defense counsel must file a response by August 12, 2020. Those additional filings must be posted to the Settlement Website on the day of filing. The Court finds that a summary from defense counsel is not necessary at this time. SO ORDERED. (Signed by Judge Valerie E. Caproni on 7/31/2020) (ama) (Entered: 07/31/2020)" @default.
