These results can be illustrated in terms of monolayer-substrate interactions along with surfactant composition separately. Moreover, the dynamic properties of the monolayer films for these acids were investigated using the surface pressure relaxation method in the presence of different substrates. The shape of surface pressure relaxation curves shows that as the hydroxyoctadecanoic acid monolayer films assume close-packing, they exhibit a loss in surface pressure when held at constant surface pressure near an apparent collapse pressure, regardless of the substrate composition, analysis of the ESP and surface pressure relaxation data suggests that these acids form relatively stable films for structural relaxation in the “plateau” regions." @default.
