- 13008897-9adf-4a38-83a7-0d00cd427d6c definition "We describe the experimental apparatus, methodology, and measurements from the Radiobrightness Energy Balance Experiment 1 (REBEX-1), conducted from October, 1992 through April, 1993 near Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Three microwave radiometers measured the apparent radiobrightness of a grassy site at 19, 37, and 85 GHz. Augmenting these data were measurements of sky radiobrightnesses, terrain and sky infrared radiometric temperatures, net and global radiation, soil temperatures, soil heat flux, rainfall, air temperature, relative humidity, and wind speed. We also acquired 100 images of the radiometer observation area over the course of the experiment using a video camera and digitization hardware. We report the experiment log, the microwave radiometer calibration record, known errors in the data, summary and monthly plots of the data, the video images of the site, and snow depth and soil moisture data.
