- W1038961095 abstract "Publisher Summary The luminescence assay for adenosine 3', 5'-monophosphate (cAMP) is based on its enzymatic conversion to adenosine 5'-triphosphate (ATP) and the subsequent determination of ATP by its luminescent reaction with firefly luciferin (LH 2 ) and luciferase (E). cAMP is converted to ATP by simultaneous incubation with cyclic 3', 5'-nucleotide phosphodiesterase, adenylate kinase, pyruvate kinase, phosphoenolpyruvate, and a catalytic amount of ATP. The ATP content of each sample is then determined. The reaction of LH 2 and ATP with E produces light which reaches maximum intensity within 1 second and thereafter decays by a process that is dependent upon several factors. The peak light intensity is directly proportional to the initial ATP concentration." @default.
