- W118851295 abstract "Abstract Whilst the ultimate strength and porosity of hardened Portland cement paste, mortar and concrete are adversely affected by elevated temperature and dry curing, cement-lime mortar may not degrade in such environment. Portland cement and cement-lime mortars were prepared at 20°and 50°C, and were cured in water or dry air. Strength tests were performed after one day as well as one year of curing, and mercury intrusion pore size distributions were determined. The results showed that warm cement-lime mortars have a slightly smaller total intrusion but distincly reduced macroporosity than cool ones. The strength of cement-lime mortar increases with increasing temperature, humidity and period of curing, and correlates well with decreasing macroporosity." @default.
