- W1273319741 abstract "The University of Queensland Australia p.rossouw@uq.edu.au In this workshop we will focus on the new developments in neuroscience demonstrating how the brain is not fixed but has the capacity to change. We also focus on the development of the brain from the bottom to the top and from the inside out. We discuss the important concepts of cortical blood flow as well as neural plasticity and the implications of how the brain wires itself in relation to the experiences in life. We then discuss the implications of neural development when working with clients – the difference between the classical top- down approach to help clients and the bottom-up approach to facilitate change.
