- W127657342 abstract "An extensive screening program has been performed to find a suitable membrane configuration and operating conditions for the effective recovery of ammonia from the syngas loop. Tubular MFI zeolite and ceramic monolithic fiber configurations have been tested. At 80 Deg, the highest ammonia permeance (2.1 * 10-7 mol.m-1.s-1.Pa-1) and a selectivity above 10 were found with the tubular MFI zeolite membrane. The selectivity was found to increase with increasing temp. Homogeneous ceramic fiber membranes tested also showed very high selectivity (ca. 15). However the permeances obtained were lower than those obtained with the tubular membranes. The results have been modeled using both the well-mixed reactor and the log mean pressure difference approaches. To overcome the limitations of both these models, an improved model has been developed to find suitable operating conditions for an industrial membrane application. [on SciFinder (R)]" @default.
