- W140790610 abstract "Numerical simulations and analysis of the NASA Ames EAST 8.5 km/s CO2-N2 spectroscopy measurements are presented. A numerical model describing onedimensional, inviscid and steady flow behind the shock is implemented. Two- and three-temperature chemical kinetic models incorporating the reactions rate models of Park, Lee, Macheret and Fujita are formulated. The collisional-radiative model of Zalogin for CO, CN and C2 is implemented in quasi-steady-state. The integrated radiative intensity profiles from two individual shots are analysed: NO emission between 190 and 240 nm, the Carbon line at 247 nm and the Oxygen triplet at 777 nm from shot 46/18, and the CN Violet and C2 Swan band system measurements from shot 46/19. Whilst reasonable agreement with experiment is found for the CN Violet -v = 0;1 bands, C2 Swan -v = 0; 1 bands and Carbon line, the C2 Swan -v = 2;1 bands are over-calculated by a factor of 3 and NO emission undercalculated by an order of magnitude." @default.
