Formulation of the problem (non-dimensional form) In this paper, we deal with a model for the mass and heat transfer by a gaseous phase, with an instan- taneous chemical reaction. More precisely, a powdered solid A is located in the neighborhood of one of the horizontal ends of a rectangular cavity (hot zone) and it is transported, by means of a gaseous phase, to a neighborhood of the other end, where different thermodynamic conditions create a cold zone that guarantees the deposit of mono-crystals. The chemical reaction in the fluid flow, assumed in chemical equilibrium, will be modeled by a system of instantaneous regulation which constrains the concentration of substance A to rest, in every point, between two equilibrium values. We restrict ourselves to the 2D case and we writex = (x1,x2). After nondimensionalization, is the rectangle = (0, 1) (0,d). Let T> 0 be fixed. We denote by Q the cylinder (0,T ).
