- W146904812 abstract "PSYCHOEduCAtIONAL gROuP fOR PARENtS Of CHILdREN wItH BEHAVIOuR AL PROBLEMS. This study is based on a psychoeducational group for parents of children with behavioural problems organised in the town of Badia del Valles. This group therapy intends to reinforce the parents' communication skills, so as to achieve a more assertive and authoritative educational style, and impart techniques to improve and diminish their children's behavioural issues and habits. Eight parents ultimately took part in the study. Before commencing the analysis, an elevated percentage of parents with symptomatology deemed clinical was anticipated at the beginning of the programme. f ollowing the intervention, a more assertive educational style and an increase in self-perceived parenting competency and pedagogical knowledge was anticipated. The results proved favourable in all assessed aspects, thus supporting the intervention's effectiveness, even though the results relative to educational styles should be taken with caution." @default.
