- W1480266704 abstract "Rain is an component in the interception process and surface runoff. The intensity of rain and the density of canopy are the factors that affect the size of the interception. The variety of rain intensity affects the interception ability of a canopy. The research using the plants that has point leaves and wooden stem as the object.The research was conducted in the laboratory using a rainfall simulator with a 150 mm of rain thickness, using Aralea as planting object by 0%, 50%, and 100% planting density variation. The soil is used as a planting medium which is closed by plastic mulch with 9% slope. The experiments were held three times for each planting density variations by using uniform rainfall patterns, Alternating Block Method rainfall patterns, and Modified Mononobe rainfall patterns. The duration of rain is for 4 hours and 2 hours additions to measure the raindrops falling from the canopy.The result shows that the canopy density and rainfall patterns affect the amount of interception and surface runoff. The Uniform rainfall patterns have the percentage of canopy density interception of 0%, 50%, and 100%, respectively 5,3%, 37,9%, and 25,7%. The Alternating Block Method rainfall patterns have the percentage of canopy density interception of 0%, 50%, and 100%, respectively 4,9%, 51,01%, and 52,89%. The Modified Mononobe rainfall patterns have the percentage of canopy density interception of 0%, 50%, and 100%, respectively 4,7%, 17,7%, and 51,9%. The interception percentage is inversely proportional to the amount of rainfall that becomes surface runoff. The greater interception percentage, the smaller surface runoff produced.Hujan merupakan komponen pada proses intersepsi dan limpasan permukaan. Intensitas hujan dan kerapatan kanopi merupakan faktor yang mempengaruhi nilai intersepsi. Intensitas hujan yang beragam mempengaruhi kemampuan intersepsi suatu kanopi. Penelitian ini menggunakan tanaman yang memiliki daun berukuran runcing dan struktur batang berkayu.Penelitian dilakukan di laboratorium menggunakan alat rainfall simulator dengan ketebalan hujan 150 mm, menggunakan tanaman aralea sebagai vegetasi tutupan lahan dengan variasi kerapatan tanam 0%, 50%, dan 100%. Tanah digunakan sebagai media tanam yang ditutup menggunakan plastik mulsa hitam perak dengan kemiringan lahan 9%. Percobaan dilakukan tiga kali untuk setiap variasi kerapatan tanam, yaitu menggunakan pola agihan hujan seragam, pola agihan hujan Alternating Block Method, dan pola agihan hujan Modified Mononobe. Durasi hujan selama 4 jam dengan ditambah waktu 2 jam untuk mengukur tetesan hujan yang jatuh dari kanopi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kerapatan kanopi dan pola agihan hujan berpengaruh terhadap besarnya intersepsi dan limpasan permukaan. Pola agihan hujan seragam memiliki nilai persentase intersepsi untuk kerapatan kanopi 0%, 50%, dan 100% berturut-turut adalah 5,3%, 37,9%, dan 25,7%. Pola agihan hujan Alternating Block Method memiliki nilai persentase intersepsi untuk kerapatan kanopi 0%, 50%, dan 100% berturut-turut adalah 4,9%, 51,01%, dan 52,89%. Pola agihan hujan Modified Mononobe memiliki nilai persentase intersepsi untuk kerapatan kanopi 0%, 50%, dan 100% berturut-turut adalah 4,7%, 17,7%, dan 51,9%. Nilai persentase intersepsi berbanding terbalik dengan besarnya hujan yang menjadi limpasan permukaan.
