This paper delves into the effects of employee training in commercial banks of Jordan with the Housing Bank for Trade and Finance (HBFT) being a specific case study. The paper also recommends various ways through which the commercial banking sector can improve the performance of its employees. The paper follows quality research procedures that include carrying out a literature review of various scholars who studied the particular area. In addition to the literature review, a theoretical framework that relates to employee training and development is listed in the paper. There are limitations that the research goes through because signs showing a relationship between employee performance and training are not adequate.
