- W1482484219 abstract "This chapter presents some examples of methods of fabrication of magnetic nanostructures. Chemical methods are the most common way to make magnetic nanoparticles. Magnetic nanoparticles can be fabricated by thermal decomposition of solid materials such as ferrocene. The Au/Fe magnetic quantum wells deposited on the surface of crystals of gallium arsenide were fabricated by molecular beam epitaxy (MBE). Thin films of silicon doped with manganese were made using a physical vapor deposition (PVD) process employing sputtering. Pulsed lasers have also been used to vaporize targets and condense the vapor on substrates. Nanowire having diameters of 50–200 nm were fabricated using an electrodeposition process with an aluminum template containing nanosized pores on one of the electrodes. Magnetic quantum dots can be fabricated by a top-down process using electron beam lithography. There are other types of lithography that employ neutral atom beams, electromagnetic radiation such as visible light, ultraviolet light." @default.
