In order to maximize the value of coaching in the organization, it is important to adopt a total systems perspective, thinking of coaching as a holistic intervention, and a set of interwoven relationships and engagements. The focus of this chapter is to enhance the value of coaching for the organization by emphasizing the critical partnership between the organization and coach at every phase of the process. It considers the three main phases of coaching that when viewed holistically have the power to facilitate coaching success throughout the organization: alignment, support, and evaluation.
