- W1486202236 abstract "The possibility of increasing heat transfer from the surface of a fuel element to the coolant gas is discussed. Laboratory experiments (non-reactor) show that heat transfer can be increased by producing an intense electric field at the heat transfer surface. This effect was studied from the point of view of the specific conditions in the cooling-channels of a gas-cooled nuclear reactor.
