Design of this research was the ControlGroup Pre-test Post-tets. The population of this research was all of fifth gradestudents of state elementary school at construction region RA. Kartini, Kemusu,Boyolali in academic year 2012/2013. Cluster Random Sampling technique wasused to take the sample. The data collection technique through observation,documentation and test. The data analysis technique was used pre-requirement testand hypothesis test. To pre-requirement test consist of normality test with chi-squared method and homogeneity test with Bartlett method.Based on the results of the analysis of the t-test shows thitung > ttabel (3,599> 2.001), so that H0 is rejected. Therefore there are positive significant effect onthe science learning achievement of fifth grade who were taught by media reality-based discovery method.The conclusion of this research there was a positive significant effect onthe science learning achievement of student who were taught by method ofdiscovery-based media reality is better than students who were taught by directinstruction-based media images.Keywords: Discovery method, media reality, the science learning achievement.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruhpenggunaan metode discovery berbasis media realita terhadap hasil belajar IPAapabila dibandingkan dengan yang diajar menggunakan pembelajaran langsungberbasis media gambar.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif jenis eksperimenmenggunakan metode eksperimen semu (Quasi Experimental Design). Designpenelitian yang digunakan adalah Control Group Pre-tets Post-test. Populasi daripenelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas V semester II SD Se-Gugus R.A KartiniKemusu Boyolali Tahun Ajaran 2012/2013. Cluster Random Sampling digunakandalam pengambilan sampel. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi,dokumentasi, dan test. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu uji prasyaratanalisis data dan uji hipotesis. Untuk uji prasyarat meliputi uji normalitas denganmetode chi-kuadrat dan uji homogenitas dengan metode Bartlett.Berdasarkan hasil analisis terhadap uji t menunjukkan thitung > ttabel (3,599> 2,001), sehingga H0 ditolak. Dengan demikian terdapat pengaruh positifterhadap hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas V yang diajar menggunakan metodediscovery berbasis media realita. Simpulan penelitian ini adalah hasil belajar IPApada siswa yang diajar dengan metode discovery berbasis media realita lebih baikdibandingkan dengan siswa yang diajar dengan pembelajaran langsung berbasismedia gambar.Kata kunci: Metode Discovery, media realita, hasil belajar IPA." @default.
