• W1505954760 abstract "Summary: The total serum IgE level and circulating T-cell count were determined in 42 cases with chronic dermatophytosis. The results obtained were compared with those of normal controls. In the patients cutaneous reactions were performed, too. On the basis of IgE values determined with the RIST method the patients were categorized into three groups. The IgE levels were above 1000 kU/1 in Group I, between 500–1000 kU/1 in Group II and below 450 kU/1 in Group III. As to the T-cell count, in the comparison of patients and controls, the number and percentage of total rosette-forming cells were highly significantly lower. Comparing the number and percentage of circulating rosette-forming lymphocytes to the serum IgE level, an inverse correlation was found: a lower number of T-cells was associated with the higher IgE values. Performing in intradermal skin tests, immediate reaction associated with high IgE level was considerably more frequent than with normal IgE levels. Zusammenfassung: Bei 42 Patienten mit chronischen Dermatophytosen wurden die IgE-Gesamtkonzentrationen im Serum sowie die Zahl der T-Lymphozyten bestimmt. Die Ergebnisse wurden mit normalen Kontrollen verglichen. Außerdem wurden an den Patienten Hauttestungen durchgeführt. Nach den mit der RIST-Methode ermittelten IgE-Werten wurden die Patienten in 3 Gruppen eingeteilt. Bei Gruppe 1 lagen die IgE-Konzentrationen über 1000 kU/1, bei Gruppe 2 zwischen 500 und 1000 kU/1 und bei Gruppe 3 unter 450 kU/1. Bei der Bestimmung der T-Zell-Zahlen zeigte sich, daß die Anzahl und der Prozentsatz von rosettenbildenden Zellen bei den Patienten im Vergleich zur Kontrolle hochsignifikant erniedrigt waren. Zwischen der absoluten Zahl und dem prozentualen Anteil der rosettenbildenden Lymphozyten und den Serum IgE-Konzentrationen bestand eine inverse Korrelation: niedrigere T-Zell-Zahlen waren mit höheren IgE-Werten verknüpft. Bei den Intrakutantestungen zeigten sich Reaktionen vom Sofort-Typ häufiger bei Patienten mit hohen IgE-Konzentrationen als bei Patienten mit normalen IgE-Konzentrationen." @default.
