The number of individuals with hypertension and type 2 diabetes increases every year and it has become a public health problem. Quality of life related to health of these individuals can improve with practice of bodybuilding. Aim: Due to the large number of people affected by these diseases the aim of this study was to review the benefits of weight training for health-related quality of individuals Hypertensive Type 2 Diabetics life. Materials and Methods: A literature review and narrative studies in selected databases and Google Scholar Bireme was performed. Studies were selected according to their title and abstract. Discussion: The inclusion of exercise in the treatment of hypertension and diabetes can be an effective means to reduce disease complications. The practice the weight can reduce blood pressure values, lower stroke volume, generating vasodilation and reduce peripheral vascular resistance contributing to the treatment of hypertension. The practice of bodybuilding for Type 2 Diabetics can also benefit as an increase in glucose uptake, increased insulin sensitivity, reduced risk of secondary diseases and increasing the number of glucose transporters (GLUT-4). Conclusion: The practice of bodybuilding can benefit Hypertensive Type 2 Diabetics. Several physiological mechanisms are modified with the practice of bodybuilding reducing the risk of complications and improving quality of life related to health of these individuals." @default.
