- W1511310803 abstract "O objetivo deste estudo foi testar o modelo de Hradetzky para a estimativa do volume da Araucaria angustifolia e compara-lo com o modelo de Spurr, ou modelo de variavel combinada. Para tal fim, foram utilizados dados de 117 arvores cubadas em tres diferentes regioes do Parana. Empregou-se a analise de variância e o teste de Tukey para comparar o modelo de Hradetzky em diferentes estratos, considerando classes de DAP, altura, divisao de DAP por altura e regiao e posteriormente os modelos de Hradetzky e Spurr. No modelo de Hradetzky, dos modelos ajustados para cada classe, a divisao entre DAP e altura apresentou as melhores estimativas. Embora as estatisticas do polinomio de Hradetzky e do modelo de Spurr sejam semelhantes, a distribuicao porcentual dos residuos mostra a superioridade do modelo de Hradetzky, que nao apresentou tendenciosidades aparentes, ao contrario do modelo de Spurr que superestimou os volumes na classe de menores DAPs. O modelo de Hradetzky se mostrou eficiente na estimativa do volume total, obtendo resultados satisfatorios e perfis de ajuste adequados. Os resultados apresentados neste trabalho poderao servir de referencia para profissionais que necessitam quantificar as suas florestas de Araucaria e que ainda nao possuam equacoes volumetricas. Abstract The objective of this study has been to test the Hradetzky’s model to estimate the volume of Araucaria angustifolia and to compare it with the results obtained with Spurr’s model (also called the combined variable model). For this purpose, data from 117 trees cubed at three different regions of Parana State were used. Analysis of variance and Tukey’s test were applied to compare the Hradetzky’s model at different levels, taking into account the DBH levels, the height, the DAP division according to height and region, and afterwards, Hradetzky’s model and Spurr’s model. In the Hradetzky’s model, the division between DBH and height featured the best estimates among the models adjusted for each class. Although the statistics generated by Hradetzky’s polynomial and Spurr’s model are very similar, the percent distribution of the residues demonstrated the superiority of Hradetzky’s model, which featured no apparent distortions, unlike Spurr’s model, which overestimated volumes for the smaller DHB classes. Hradetzky´s model was effi cient for total volume estimation, providing satisfactory results and adequate adjustment profi les. The results presented in this paper may be useful as a reference for professionals who need to estimate volume of Araucaria forests where no volume equations are available." @default.
