(2001) is extended and applied to investigate the formation of different dune shapes on Mars and on Earth as function of wind directionality and sand availability. The formation of sand dunes on Mars under the present atmospheric conditions of the red planet is studied and conclusions about wind speed, migration velocity of dunes and changing wind regimes on Mars are presented. Field measurements of the shape of coastal transverse dunes are presented and the formation of coastal dune fields is explained. Finally, the formation of linear dunes by bimodal wind regimes is calculated. The simulations explain the appearance of exotic bimodal dune shapes in areas of low sand availability on Mars and on Earth.%%%%Diese Arbeit befasst sich mit der Modellierung verschiedener Dunenformen auf der Erde und auf dem Mars. Dabei wird das Modell, welches in der Doktorarbeit von Gerd Sauermann (2001) entwickelt wurde, erweitert und angewandt um die Dunenformen als Funktion der Windrichtung und der Verfugbarkeit von Sand zu untersuchen. Die Bildung von Marsdunen unter den heutigen atmospharischen Bedingungen des roten Planeten wird studiert und Schlussfolgerungen uber die Windgeschwindigkeit, die Geschwindigkeit der Dunen und sich andernde Windrichtungen auf dem Mars werden gezogen. Im Rahmen der vorliegenden Arbeit werden Feldmessungen zur Form von Transversaldunen in Kustengebieten prasentiert, und die Bildung von Kustendunenfeldern erlautert. Schliesslich wird die Bildung von Longitudinaldunen bei einem bidirektionalen Wind berechnet. Die Simulationen erlautern das Auftreten exotischer bimodaler Dunenformen in Gebieten geringerer Verfugbarkeit von Sand auf der Erde und auf dem Mars." @default.
