SummaryThe antiphospholipid syndrome (APS) is anautoimmune disease with diverse manifestations, mainly thrombotic, in any part of the body, wherethe central system nervous is frequently involvedand course with prominent clinical manifestations. In addition to presenting thrombus, the diseasecan present psychiatrics alterations and a varietyof non thrombotic neurological syndromes. Our report describes the clinical characteristicsof presentation, laboratory finding and treatmentin two cases: the first one of normal pressurehydrocephalus (NPH) associated to neurosyphilisand the other one and APS secondary to systemiclupus erythematosus (SLE).We emphasize the potential pathogenic role ofthe antiphospholipid antibodies in the generationof such a neurological entity. We commented anddiscussed the possible physiopathologic mecha-nisms in which the presence of such auto-antibod-" @default.
