Cabe resaltar, que la poblacion mas vulnerable a este tipo de problemas siguen siendo los ninos y los jovenes (Barrera, Ordonez, Palacios & Pena, 2007),lo que exige a los profesionales en salud mental generar estrategias de intervencion orientadas a la identificacion y prevencion de las mismas.ABSTRACTThe oal of the present article is to meditate around the relationship among suicidal ideation, suicidal act, and suicide itself in young people and the psychosocial variables considered by different authors like factors of risk with base in the studies carried out during the last decade in Spanish. For the revision, the following databases were consulted: Dialnet, Redalyc, Scielo and Proquest. Starting from the above-mentioned, we settled down as predictors: suicide, suicidal ideation, suicidal intent and risk factors. With regard to the inclusion of the articles to be analyzed we kept in mind them to be empiric articles with young population. The studies concentrate their attention on the characterization of the phenomenon in Latin American youths, identifying psychosocial associate variables as interpersonal problems in the school context, psychological variables, and the exhibition of intra- familiar violence and sexual abuse situations and finally, the styles and confrontation strategies developed by youths. We conclude that suicide is a multi-causal phenomenon (Goat, Infante, & Sossa, 2010) that goes in increase with the appearance of problematic characteristic of modern society, such as school pursuit, alimentary dysfunctions, sexual abuse and mistreat. It’s important to point out that the most vulnerable population to this type of problems continues being children and youths (Barrier, Ordonez, Palacios, & Pena, 2007), what demands to generate intervention strategies guided to the identification and prevention of the same ones, to professionals in mental health." @default.
