- W1530018150 abstract "The European Commission through the Innovative Medicines Initiative is fundamentally changing the way drug research is being done. For the first time in the history of pharmaceutical research, big companies are working with academic teams, patients’ organizations, small and medium-sized enterprises, and regulators to share their knowledge and expertise. The European Program in Pharmacovigilance and Pharmacoepidemiology (Eu2P) is the first European public–private initiative to improve the understanding of the benefit and risk of medicines. This challenge was embraced by seven universities, the European and French medicines agencies, and 15 pharmaceutical companies who have put their strengths together to meet the job market needs for healthcare professionals and students, but also for nonspecialists. Eu2P provides the training that meets the profile need among its specialties in medicines benefit assessment, regulatory aspects, risk quantification, public health, and risk communication. It offers valuable diplomas, such as master, PhD and certificates jointly awarded by all Eu2P public and private partners. By joining Eu2P, all stakeholders choose e-learning to learn at anytime, at any place, in the fields of the pharmacovigilance and pharmacoepidemiology." @default.
