- W1541232642 abstract "Rat liver nuclei isolated by sedimentation in dense sucrose have been found capable of incorporating inorganic orthophosphate into several components of the nuclear acid-insoluble fraction. Compounds which have been found to be labeled are RNA, phosphatidic acids, and inorganic polyphosphate. The phosphorylation is aerobic and is maximal at pH 7.1 and 35 °; it proceeds actively with time and is presumably supported by an endogenous complement of substrates, etc. 32P1 incorporation into the acid-insoluble fraction is relatively insensitive to DNP and exogenous nuoleosides and highly sensitive to NaCN, chelating agents, DNase, and exogenous nuclear histones. The action of DNase may be reversed in part by addition of polyethylene sulfonate. A divalent cation is required in both isolation and incubation media for maximal formation of acid-insoluble products by the nuclei." @default.
