This paper deals with observations concerning the clinical course, pathogenesis and therapeutics in the latter disease. The association of diabetes with porphyria has occasionally been noted1 and seems most common in porphyria cutanea tarda,2, 3 but so far as we are aware has not been previously described in mixed porphyria.A brief review of the types and major features of porphyria, following Watson's classification, is helpful in any discussion of this disease and is presented in table 1.Because of its unusual features our...Bibliography1.
