Since 1935, in “Wiadomości Literackie”, since 1941, a stage designer at the Theatre of Miniatures in Lvov, in 1945–1969, the editor in chief of the weekly “Przekroj” in Krakow, the creator of that magazine and its graphic designer, he gathered around it the most outstanding writers, columnists, and artists. Together with Janina Ipohorska, K.I. Galczynski, Jerzy Waldorff, and Irena Kwiat-kowska, he established the “7 Kotow” cabaret (“The Seven Cats” Cabaret). He was a truly renaissance figure. In 1947–1951, he was a professor at the faculty of stage design of the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow. He also lectured on painting, graphics, and drawing. He also created a large number of stage designs and decorations at the Slowacki Theatre In 1969, he went to Paris. He worked for the Paris newspaper “France-Soir”, in which he published a satirical drawing everyday commenting on the current affairs. After his return to Poland, he established his own column in the weekly “Szpilki” entitled “Franciszek i inni”, at the same time he worked as a translator from French and stage designer at the theatres in Krakow, Łodź, Warszawa, and Katowice." @default.
