My topic this morning is to review briefly with you my company's experience with employment of the ghetto resident. Time does no{ permit an in-depth case study. Instead, I shall outline some of the highlights of our experiences. At the outset, I wish to disclaim any notion that my company's performance has been uniquely exemplary or worthy of emulation. Quite the contrary; like most employers, we continue to grope for meaningful approaches and sound techniques. You might know us as Filene's in Boston, or Bloomingdale's and Abraham & Straus in New York City, or Lazarus in Columbus, or Foley's in Houston, or Bullock's and Ralphs in Los Angeles, or I.
