- W1566697842 abstract "Several error models for the network RTK (NRTK) approach have been proposed, investigated and used in the past years. Most of the studies are based on one single model and very limited research has been conducted to evaluate the performance of different error models. Various error models may perform differently either in alternative reference networks or in the same network but for other observation sessions. This is because other reference networks have different error characteristics. For example, the multipath effect (or the station specific error), the spatial atmospheric pattern and the scale of the ionospheric disturbance may be different in alternative networks. Hence, to investigate the performance of different error models in NRTK for a specific region, only the results based on the data from the region is more significant and conclusive. In this paper, three typical error models for NRTK including the linear interpolation model (LIM), the distance-based interpolation model (DIM) and the low-order surface model (LSM) are investigated to assess their performance in GPSnet using twelve test cases. These test cases are derived from three different observation sessions and four different network configurations. Test results indicate that both the LIM and DIM perform equally well and offer significant improvements. However the LSM does not always perform as well as the other two models and in some cases the residuals with the LSM corrections are much greater than the residuals without the corrections." @default.
