- W156680254 abstract "Using 281 service multinational companies (MNCs) operating in six Asian countries, namely Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand, we examine various HR practices used by these service companies. Multiple regression results indicate that more formalised HR practices were likely to be taken up by financial institutions than other type of service companies. Selected HR practices examined significantly related to employee retention, though on the reverse effect. Employees’ skill training and development contribute to service firm growth and quality service delivery. Implications of these results are discussed." @default.
