- W1566992198 abstract "Magnetoencephalography (MEG) can monitor the activation of a neuronal population with millisecond temporal resolution, and offer new noninvasive information about basic activities of the human brain. MEG is usable for the description of spontaneous brain activity and the detection of timely events such as stimulus evoked fields. The most recent advances in the field of MEG concerning cortical responses to stimulation are issued from development of multichannel recordings. We can study the temporal order of several cortical areas from averaged waveforms of MEG, e.g., auditory, visual, and somatosensory evoked responses. For three decades, dynamical information contained in MEG has been analyzed mainly in terms of averaged waveforms." @default.
