The implementation of the proposals and solutions delivered by the research project may improve the mechanism of state intervention into the economy and may support the business environment to counteract the adverse effects of the present economic and financial crisis. The topic of sustainable development is debated in the literature only tangentially for the microeconomic level, in relation with environmental protection and without in-depth analysis of the implications of the development of this concept on the strategies, policies and tactics at the company level. The problems related to the impact of shocks on company activity are also approached using the shocks from the natural environment. However, the manifestation of the present economic and financial crisis showed that the economic theory and practice do not have a proper set of instruments for intervention against shocks other than those from the natural environment. The concept of entropy is properly developed theoretically, but the problem of the correlations and interferences with the sustainable development of the company and the shocks from the natural, economic and social environment are yet to be approached by the economic theory and practice." @default.
