- W1567315351 abstract "An important Complication in Nephrotic Syndrome: Spontaneous Bacterial PeritonitisMinimal change disease is accounting for approximately %80 of childhood nephrotic syndromes. Because of the existence of immune system defects in minimal change disease and the use of steroids or immunosuppressive drugs, some important infectious complications such as peritonitis and sepsis develop in the follow up of these patients. We presented a spontaneous bacterial peritonitis as a results of Streptococcus pneumoniae in a 2.5 year-old boy with steroid dependent nephrotic syndrome. We emphasized importance of vaccination children with nephrotic syndrome againts pneumococs and other possible microorganisms and we drew attention the difficulties of long-term treatment of the steroid dependent patients with regard vaccination.Cocukluk cagi primer nefrotik sendromlannm yaklasik %80'ini olusturan minimal degisiklik hastaliginin, patogenezinde immun sistemde bazi defektler olmasi ve tedavisinde de steroidler ve bagisikligi baskilayici diger ilaclarin kullanilmasi nedeniyle peritonit ve sepsis gibi onemli enfeksiyoz komplikasyonlari vardir. Bu olgu sunumunda steroide bagimli nefrotik sendrom tanisiyla izlemde olan 2.5 yasindaki erkek hastada Streptococcus pneumoniae nedeniyle gelisen spontan bakteriyel peritonit tablosu sunularak, nefrotik sendromlu cocuklarin pnomokoklara ve olasi mikroorganizmalara karsi asilanmasi geregi vurgulanmis, steroide bagimli nefrotik sendromlu hastalarda uzayan tedaviler nedeniyle asilama konusunda olusan zorluklara dikkat cekilmistir." @default.
