- W1568372230 abstract "ポリ乳酸は，透明性に優れ，現在最も使用されているバイオマス由来プラスチックであり，石油を原料として合成されるプラスチックの代替材料として期待されている．通常ポリ乳酸は，乳酸発酵によって得た乳酸から重金属触媒を使用した化学的重合によって合成されるが，筆者らは微生物が合成するポリヒドロキシアルカン酸(PHA)の生合成系を改変することにより，乳酸ポリマーを一気通貫のバイオプロセスで合成する新たなシステムを開発した．この技術を可能としたブレークスルーは，乳酸モノマーを重合可能な生体触媒「乳酸重合酵素」の発見であった．乳酸重合酵素は，乳酸の光学異性体を認識する高い特異性をもつため，非常に光学純度の高いポリマーが合成できる．加えて，本酵素により合成される乳酸ポリマーは，PHA モノマーとの共重合化によって，透明性と柔軟性を兼ね備えた多様な物性を示し，これまでポリ乳酸の欠点とされていた柔軟性の低さを克服した新たなバイオポリマーとしての利用が期待される．" @default.
