- W1569482087 abstract "When electrical pulses are applied on the crack tip, the electrical current can affect the different acoustic response under various multi-physical coupling aspects. The existence of the crack tips tend to intensify these effects. Apparently, the role of the electrical density (101∼102A/mm2) enhances the unpinning of dislocations on the defect as a result electroplastic effect[1]. The plastic deformation is the macroscopic performance of mobile dislocation. Acceleration of mobile dislocation is considered to be the principle of acoustic emission (AE) source. Normally, the generation mechanism of AE usually deals with the acoustic behavior of cracks under high electrical loading. AE testing is considered as an nondestructive testing (NDT) method which can be used for the damage assessment of structures under the extreme industrial environment. The electromagnetically induced acoustic emission (EMAE) is a promising NDT method which uses contactless local electromagnetic loading replace mechanical entire loading[2-3]. However, the mechanism of EMAE is unclear up to now and the analysis in theory of EMAE has become a bottleneck of the engineering application. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to study the microscopic mechanism of EMAE." @default.
