- W1569486322 abstract "This chapter provides an overview of the application of electrochemical techniques to the synthesis of some energetic materials, and to the remediation of waste arising from the manufacture and use of energetic materials. Electrosynthesis is considered to be a relatively clean approach, and may offer many advantages over conventional preparative methods, including mild reactions conditions and the avoidance of toxic redox reagents. Electrochemical methods of remediation have been widely researched for the treatment of industrial waste and polluted environments, and can also be economical. Such techniques have been applied quite extensively on the small scale, and in several cases on a pilot-scale, to the remediation of waste streams from manufacture, decontamination of polluted soil and groundwater, and to the recovery or recycling of some energetic materials." @default.
